Visa for Tanzania

Hi,
I'm a Canadian citizen, does anyone know if it is possible to get a visa for entry into Tanzania when you arrive, or must this be done in advance?

Thank you.

I was just there. You can get one at the airport before passport control. The cost is 50 USD. It is cheaper than for US citizens.

On arrival. USD$50, along with completed application and your passport. No photos required.

Deplane (stairs, no jetway at JRO), walk into terminal to the far wall, window for Visa purchase. Then go collect your baggage.

Easy!

Does anyone know if we can use the regular visa forms (ie from the UK embassy website) so that we save a bit of time if we want to obtain the visa at Kili?
thanks

Whether from the UK or US or OZ Embassy website... sure. Download application, complete and hand in with your passport and fee (no photos required) when purchasing on arrival at JRO.

Time to get visa at kili airport...less than 5 minutes. I wouldn't waste your time getting it ahead of time. When you get off the klm flight, head right for the visa booth. Its right before passport control.

Alot of people have deer in headlights look when they walk in and don't know where to go. Just walk right to the window. Give your passport to the lady with your 50USD or 100USD (if your are american or irish) in it. She will stamp it and then you can walk over to get your baggage without stopping at passport control

You don't have to fill out an application. Just fill out the landing card that you are given on the plane.
