When I first started to think about booking a trip to Egypt I read several short reports by
Channah. In one of them she mentioned a hotel that she did not like in Cairo that MISR
booked her into. I don't remember the hotel but it may have been the President Hotel or
the Windsor Hotel. Does anyone know why she seems to have disappeared from the
Forum?

She stayed at the President Hotel. I'm not sure she didn't like that one that much though. There are better, but it isn't that bad.
If you want the best 3 star - get booked into the Longchamps.

Thank you very much Casual Cairo for replying. I told my travel agent to get us a different hotel. I think that she misunderstood my original e-mail concerning my trip.

Thank you P_M_. I no longer need to communicate with her about the President Hotel since we won't be staying there.

I will say at this point that the Fodor's search function was a lot better under the old forum system than the new one.
The new one just seems to miss a lot of references if the exact references are not in the title of the posting.

Sigh!
