Which Field Guide to Bring - Tanzania and Kenya

I am leaving and forgot to buy a field guide for animals. Which one does everyone recommend? I need something small with pictures. I read on this board that Wildlife of East Africa – Martin Withers & David Hosking is good. Which does everyone recommend?

I have Lonely Planet's Watching Wildlife in East Africa - it's fabulous.

I also have National Audobon's Field Guide to Africa Wildlife but I wasn't crazy on the format of that one, so I didn't bring it.

The Lonely Planet one has lots of park info in theirs as well as just 'who's who' in the animal world.

We also have the Lonely Planet's Watching Wildlife in East Africa. Excellent guide that I would recommend.

The Lonely Planet Guide runs about $40 and I can find it on line but not in person. I have Withers and Hosking - very compact; mammals section MUCH smaller than bird section; some reptiles. Can someone tell us how Lonely Planet compares, how it's organized, its size, and type size?
Thanks
Jess

I took a guide to wildlife that included mammals, birds, a few reptiles. I found that identifying mammals wasn't that difficult -- all the guides point them out. I wished I had taken a book on birds only. If you've any interest in birds, think about this.
