In defense of poor Bwana: Mitch was asleep and caught off guard! I think that's key here, folks! Given that he's traveled to Africa many times, I'm sure he knows how to take care of himself!
But it's nice that we all care, right Mitch!?

tripster,
I visited Kapamba while the clients were out. Very nice camp with wonderful chalets. Outer walls of the chalets are of reed, inner walls of clay without sharp edges - very earthy and cool. In each chalet is a sunken bath tube, and the side to the river is complete open. Views are not so good - they have a main viewing platform at the river, but the view is very narrowed by trees left and right. Beside this they currently have a small tsetse problem...
Fuel shortages? Not for the camps. But I met self-drivers in Kafue who were desperately seeking for Diesel (management of Lufupa helped them out).

cooncat,
Get that boy some Pampers.
The same way others ask about the best rooms to request for the view, will we need to start asking which room Mitch visited so we can avoid the "muddy" beds?

Bwana,
Didn't realise the sudden awake was the first motion, as it were. What a rude awakening!
I agree that it's better not to take too much medication, and if I'm home I am more able to simply take the time off work and stay at home and let it work through the system. But if I'm AT work or, even more so, travelling, I want to get rid of the symptoms fast.
Anyway, I think we've beaten this leaking horse to death.
Let's talk about the rest of your trip!
