April 11, EDI to London: which airline

Of course, the BA flight is the cheapest, and BMI and Easyjet are about the same.

I don't know much about the BA strike situation, but I'm hoping others here do. Which would you pick?

Am I missing any other airline on this route?

I need Gatwick or Heathrow, by the way.

Thanks.

The BA strikes are currently scheduled to be over by then, so I would be inclined to tell you to simply book on price. Make sure to include any baggage fees when calculating the price.

To Heathrow, BA or BMI are your only options. To Gatwick, you can choose from BA or EasyJet.

I know you said Gatwick or Heathrow, but for the sake of completeness: EasyJet also flies to Stansted and Luton, I believe. Finally, you can fly into London City airport with either BA or Air France. If you are actually heading into London, proper, I would fly into London City before any of the other options.

travelgourmet, thank you.

Despite a few searches, I did not find the flight to London City airport. I appreciate the information.

I did see the Easyjet flights, though.

Thanks again.

What days are you traveling? London City airport is closed from 12:30 Saturday to 12:30 Sunday, so that could be it? Otherwise, you should be able to find flights - between the two carriers, they have something like 15 flights on a weekday.

The airport code for London City is LCY and you might get better results if you use that, rather than typing in London. I know that these flights show up on Expedia. Apologies if this is old news to you.

NO, no apologies! I am forever grateful. A boss is making this trip, and with the National Rail strike, and the BA strike, I am out of my mind, moving things around, second guessing strikes, getting them to appointments before and after a conference.

I'm feeling nutty right now, and I am very thankful, travelgourmet, for your information. VERY grateful here in Pennsylvania. Thanks so much.
