Connection to Domestic Flight Madrid

Hello,

I arrive from the US in Madrid in Terminal 1 on a Sat at 8 AM. My domestic flight at 10:30 AM in Terminal 2 is not a connecting flight. Does anyone know if 1.5 hours is enough time to go through immigration, pick up bags, and check in terminal 2 by 9:30? I am concerned this is not enough time. thank you!

By 'not a connecting flight' I assume you mean they are on two different tickets/booked separately. If so, you will have to go through immigration and collect your bags / do customs. There is no way anyone can say if 90 minutes will be enough time. It depends on IF you arrive on time, IF your plane gets a gate right away, IF Border Patrol is staffed up, IF baggage reaches the carousels timely . . . etc. 90 minutes could be plenty -- or way too short. There are just too many variables.

If your second flight is one one of the low cost carriers, they tend to be more strict about check in times (and will likely have different baggage rules)

You may or may not be able to do on-line check in for the 2nd flight

The question to ask yourself is "what will I do if I miss either the baggage cut off time, or the connection?"
