Delta Sevice - Exceptional

We arrived late at JFK. Less than one hour to connect with last Seattle flight. Delta hustled us to Terminal 3. Attendent called up Sky Cap and he took our bags. Cart met us at control point and took us to gate. We made connection.

Leaving Seattle we were charged penalty for using international bag weight limit on domestic flight (stop in Chicago) leg even though we had international tickets. I asked Delta for explanation. Penalty rescinded.

You were lucky to deal with some much valued Delta employess.

Is this the norm...???? NO WAY!
You were very, very lucky! Don't expect it ever again!

Here's a second vote for Delta. Last weekend we needed to get last minute notice ticket for a family emergency. @%*^! Travelocity and expedia sites showed itineraries but when I tried to purchase the reply was "can't buy less than 4 hours before flight time" (so then why even show it ??) and calling their 800# produced the same reply. CO agent was very pleasant but they were already oversold on the route for the next two days and suggested Delta. Delta agent said they were also sold out, but then did some digging and found a way to get us there with some creative connections, and even got a fare that was much better than the standard bereavement fare. Delta counter and gate agents were great, too, facilitated processing so we could make the flight. I am quite pleased and will definitely use Delta again.

I've had 4 flights with Delta in the past week and all were disasters. I've dealt with everything from rude flight attendants to a baggage clerk from hades. This clerk was apparently being given a commission for collecting for overweight bags. Since mine was about a half pound over, I had to pay $25. Then it was lost. When it was finally recovered, there were many items inside that was broken, including the heel from a shoe. Can't they at least put a sticker on the bags that we paid extra for so we'd get a little better treatment?

Any airline has good days and bad days. Just before Christmas a coworker and I missed our NW flight out of Cleveland. CO was full and couldn't get us to our connection. Out of the blue a Delta agent called us over and got us into Atlanta in plenty of time to make our Kingston connection. All this with no additional charges. Delta came throu for me that day.
