Delta TransAtlantic Business Class

Hello,

Does anyone have experience flying Delta's Business Elite across the Atlantic from US to Europe?

In my case the flights are from JFK-Amersdam-JFK. The aircraft is a 767-300.

Do the seats fully recline and is there a lot of legroom? I am big guy so this is important to me. I don't really care about meals and IFE.

thanks,

Peter

Of the 3 airlines that fly NYC-AMS non-stop, DL currently has the oldest seats. Not very wide and not flat.

The best is KL's A330 that flies EWR-AMS, which has new lie-flat (not horizontal) World Business seats.

If you want wide seats, Continental's 767-400, also EWR-AMS have the widest ones. But recline to only about 170-degrees.

Legroom should not be a problem on all.

DL's 763 BE seats have plenty of legroom but aren't very wide (seat width seems to be the most common complaint). There are a few 763's with new cabin interiors but the seat dimensions are the same though the foot rest comes up slightly higher. Seats are not fully flat, but I personally find them more comfortable than the KL lie flat seats for sleeping.

Hi, I am aware of seatguru. They do not say in this case what the recline of the seat is. This is the most important element for me.

Thanks again,
