need advice on ff program...
We have been using AA credit card. Have a lot of miles but they stopped non stop service from San Diego to Boston which we always used.
We also go to NJ and NYC and visit my sister and return on a Continental non stop to San Diego from Newark.
Another place we visit is Buffalo which we can do from Boston on Jet Blue or Continental.
My question:..can I just keep my FF miles and my AA credit card..and get another from Continental?
Not sure if this makes sense but since American doesn't go where we want it to and how we want it to, why bother?..we do go to Paris and could use the AA miles up..
Thanks

Hello loisco, I am not sure I understand your question but I think you are asking if you can obtain another credit card that would give you FF miles on Continental. If that is your questions, sure why not? As long as you qualify for another credit card there wouldn't be a problem. Many people have more than one credit card and more than one FF program. Best regards.

Do you plan on letting your AA miles expire? If you keep using the card some, you should keep your AA miles. I`d try to use the AA miles up, and cancel that card and go with the new card, since AA doesn`t go to where you want.

You can have as many miles-earning cards for as many airlines as you wish, but you won't accrue miles worth redeeming in time before they expire if you spread your expenditures all over the map.
Use the card that earns you AA miles for groceries and all other everyday expenses until you've accrued 40,000 miles then hop over to Europe, or make it 60,000 and go in summer.
Meanwhile get the card that earns you Continental miles and use it only while actually flying with Continental, until you retire the AA card and go full steam ahead on the Continental card.
Just pay your credit card bill in full before it's due every month, or your miles will not be free...
