United business class

Are the noise-canceling headphones provided in business of good quality? This is our first time flying in anything but economy, and I'm hoping we don't need to bring our own headphones (Bose and Philips). We - or at least I - am planning on carry-on only, so it would be a big space saver!

Lucky at One Mile at a Time says they're inferior to the Bose units offered on AA, but in my experience airline-supplied 'phones are good enough. https://onemileatatime.com/8-ways-un...could-improve/

Personally I am not aware that the business class headsets are active noise cancelling.

If you are on domestic flights then they are OK but not that great. On international Polaris flights they are pretty good.
