Bangkok: Long Table

Based on a tip from some of the Asia regulars, I tried this place on a recent trip. Nice spot. Pretty good view. Drinks were decent and not too expensive. Food was better than I expected. Service was friendly and timely. I'd go again.

Glad you enjoyed it! We like it too.
When are you going back to BKK? Are you coming to the HNL GTG on Saturday the 19th??? DS and I will be there, as well as about a dozen other nice folks.

The Long Table is one of my favorite BKK restaurants. The combination of good food, good drinks, great atmosphere, & fantastic service at a great price make it easy to recommend the place.

Just last month my daughter's school closed the place down for a private party for the outgoing headmaster. What a fun time we had and to enjoy the place with no other customers around was unique and fun.

I thought the food was very similar to the Mahanaga restaurant in Thailand, fusion and might not appeal to the more traditionalist Thai food lover.

Thanks for the info. We tend to prefer Thai food, but so sometimes eat at fusion places. Where is it located?

It's in a apartment building(Colum Tower) on Sukhumvit Soi 16.

Hanuman, would you say it was better than Mahanaga though as we had a pretty poor meal/service there a couple of years ago?
