Paule, you have really encouraged me with your lovely comments. I think I do shoot with purpose but I have no idea how I will arrange photos in a book until I am in the process of doing it. I just know what I like. I think you would really enjoy the Blurb book process. However it always takes me quite awhile to find the time to actually make the book. Now I need to make one for the Guatemala trip we took in April before our next trip!

Really liked reading your report. And thanks for mentioning Blurb. Also enjoyed your Blurb book from a 2010 trip to India. We seen much of what you've written about these 2 trips, but the different perspective is always good. Your pictures are beautiful, but your comments are often even more enticing. Thanks!

Your pictures are absolutely beautiful!!!! You definitely have talent.
We got a new camera last year for our trip to India. It is a nice camera, but our pictures did not come close to looking like yours.
What setting do you put your camera on?

Live2Travel1000, I use different settings but often when I am walking around I just put it on the automatic setting of "P." Other times, I set the aperture and let the camera set the shutter. Also different f stops make a difference. And Thanks!!

Thank you so very much! I am new to the "fodorites" club and am amazed at how helpful and interesting (as well as interested) everyone is. I am just beginning to plan our trip to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia so your travel log is great. I think we will try to go in November when it seems the weather is best for both northern Vietnam (Sapa) and Laos and Cambodia (neither too hot or too cold).
A couple of questions: Did you do a boat trip on Halong Bay? And any boat trip along the Mekong at any point?
Any suggestions/advice from pattyroth as well as anyone else reading this is very welcome.
Thanks, JAT
