Chenghdu layover

Hello Have a layover in Chengdhu 6 hours. Does anyone know of a good trustworthy and knowledgeable English speaking guide who could pick me up at the airport and take me to see the pandas. Or any other suggestions for the 6 hours instead of sitting at airport

Thanks much

I take it you mean Chengdu? When you say six hours, do you mean from landing to take off, because in that case you do not have six hours.

The best time to see the pandas is in the morning when they are eating. There is plenty to see in Chengdu itself, and you don't need a guide.

There is also very heavy traffic adding travel time. I hope yo can get to see the pandas in their natural environment.

I was in Chengdu a few years ago and can confirm that the traffic is severe (however, that was before the newer Metro lines had opened, so perhaps it's better now). Getting anywhere in Chengdu is SLOW, and the panda reserve is not in the city centre.
I would not have thought a 6 hour layover at the airport between flights is long enough to fit in a visit, but if you have a private driver who can collect you from the airport, go to the panda reserve, wait outside and take you straight back again it might be possible.

I have visited the panda reserve closest to Chengdu. I would not describe it as a "natural environment".

Thanks was thinking of a private driver who could get me there and back or maybe just to tour town. Yes it is 6 hours from landing to plane out

We went to the panda center up on the mountainside away from downtown. But considering the horrible traffic in Chengdu, I don't think you have enough time.
