I'm beginning to plan a trip of about 21 days to China. I've visited the following websites. I would like to know if anyone has had either good or bad experiences with any of these sites: China Odyssey Tours, China Tours, China Spree, China Discovery Tours or Laurus Travel.

Welcome to Fodors. Most posters here prefer independent travel, especially for China which has some particular issues with tour companies. If you do a search here you will turn up a LOT of threads on the subject of tour groups in China, both in general, and for some of the specific companies you list.

We were in China 2 years ago and used Chinatours.com. I can't soak more highly of the company! I email the, at night and wake up with to my answer. We did a private tour of 5 people. And we went to some remote areas not often travelled to. They found guide for us their as well. Hotel quality was great although I did change locations at times to something more central. Everything was perfect!
