How's the China Airlines A350

How's the seat? I have 12 hours trip TAPEI-SFO.

Does the seat have entertainment or tv?

How's the food they serve?

I read the interior is good.

This is my first time flying with CHINA AIRLINES.

Thanks in advance.

Unlike the nearby state owned airlines, from the communist mainland, China Airlines is a Taiwan based company and the flag carrier of the Democratic Taiwan govt.

Have a great/safe journey.

Very poor safety record but improved in recent years.

As to safety, it is too bad CanadaChinaTraveller didn't provide any examples to back up the claim of low safety at ChinaAirlines. You can search the Internet on this subject. However, both Skytrax, the influential source of the above link, and IATA, the industry oversight agency, reject indexes of safety for various reasons amounting to untrustworthy statistics.

Their historical problems are very well known. I have a friend who used to work there and we'd often joke about it. In recent years their performance improved.

That's a pretty long list for ANY carrier...even if on the mend.

Southam, you referenced air China, it's a different airline to China airlines

I've flown them lots of times, not for 12 hours and not that recently , the flights were ok, leg room average and relatively crash free

China Airlines service is pretty good, I'll often fly from Hawaii to Taiwan on the long haul. Yes, all the long flight planes have in flight entertainment, which you can look up on their website. Make sure not to confuse them with Air China or China Eastern (as these are VERY different--budget airlines). China Airline's international flights often tend to be of higher quality as well.

The food changes regularly, but there is usually 2 options for food: one asian style and one western style. They usually cover all main meals as well as snack between meals and they are all included, no extra fees like many american airlines.
