Malaysia side trip from Singapore

I have from March 10-March 16 (need to be in Delhi on 16th) for trip from Singapore.
Looking now into Malaysia and was impressed by reviews on Penang, Georgtown (E&O) and Langkawi
Is it feasible to do both? what are people's thoughts on ferry?
How many nights each place?
or should I just do 1 place?
If I do both, where would you fly to from Singapore...Penang? or Langkawi?
Will fly back to singapore and then onto Delhi!

If it was me (and your preferences might well be different) I'd choose just one place. That way, you get a chance to settle in and get to know a place. And I'd choose Georgetown. We love the E&O and the wonderful food at the hawker centers. Langkawi is an international beach resort.

I think you are right about one place, plus are moving around alot. How many nights in Georgetown would you suggest?

We spent a week there. So I'd say 5 or 6 nights.

I like both places, in fact my wife and I got married in Langkawi and have returned a few times since. There are some fantastic hotels there. The Datai, Four Seasons, Tanjung Rhu. It may be mostly about the beachs but there is a thriving food scene, mangrove walks, hiking etc. and it would provide a nice contrast to Penang which too has a lot going for it - street food, temples, graffiti, but the beaches are not good.

Some photos and info of our time in Penang @ https://accidentalnomads.com/2014/11/22/penang/

We took the ferry between the two islands which was a nice way to get around. I think it took around 4 hours.

I don't think it matters to much which one you fly to or from. Just go for the most convenient flight.
