Need advice on my korea 10 Days Itineraries

Day 1-3: Seoul (Capital City)

  • Day 1: Arrival & Initial Exploration
    • Gyeongbokgung Palace: The most iconic palace, catch the changing of the guard ceremony.
    • Bukchon Hanok Village: Walk through traditional Korean houses.
    • Insadong: A great area for traditional Korean art, crafts, and street food.
    • Myeongdong: Explore vibrant shopping streets and try street food.
  • Day 2: History & Modern Seoul
    • Changdeokgung Palace: A UNESCO site, known for its beautiful gardens (Huwon).
    • Jongmyo Shrine: A Confucian shrine dedicated to Joseon kings.
  • Day 3: Seoul’s Modern & Nightlife
    • Hongdae: A youthful neighborhood known for street performances and cafes.

Day 4-6: Gyeongju (Historical Capital of the Silla Dynasty)

  • Day 4: Arrival in Gyeongju
    • Cheomseongdae Observatory: One of the oldest astronomical observatories.
  • Day 5: Exploring Gyeongju
    • Bulguksa Temple: A UNESCO World Heritage Site with incredible history.
    • Seokguram Grotto: An ancient grotto with a stunning Buddha statue.
    • Tumuli Park: Visit the large burial mounds of Silla kings.
  • Day 6: Nature & More History
    • Yangdong Folk Village: A traditional village with preserved houses.
    • Gyeongju National Museum: Learn more about Silla's history and artifacts.
    • Evening: Take a stroll or bike ride around Bomun Lake.

Day 7-8: Busan (Coastal City)

  • Day 7: Arrival in Busan & Exploration
    • Haeundae Beach: Relax at Korea's most famous beach.
    • Dongbaek Island: Walk along the coastal trail for scenic views.
    • Busan Aquarium (optional).
  • Day 8: Cultural and Scenic Busan
    • Gamcheon Culture Village: A colorful hillside village with art installations.
    • Beomeosa Temple: A beautiful temple nestled in the mountains.
    • Jagalchi Fish Market: The largest seafood market in Korea.
    • Busan Tower: Enjoy panoramic views of the city and harbor.

Day 9-10: Jeju Island (Nature & Adventure)

  • Day 9: Arrival & Initial Exploration
    • Fly from Busan to Jeju (around 1 hour).
    • Manjanggul Cave: Explore this impressive lava tube.
    • Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak): A UNESCO site with a fantastic view.
    • Relax at Seopjikoji Coast or Hamdeok Beach.
  • Day 10: Nature and Return
    • Hallasan Mountain: If you're into hiking, attempt a shorter trail to Korea's highest peak.
    • Jeongbang Waterfall: One of the few waterfalls in the world that falls directly into the sea.
    • Fly back to Seoul for your international departure.

This itinerary would allow you to see quite a few of South Korea's most well known and most easily reached highlights. FWIW, I'd skip Jeju-Do in favor of more time in other parts of South Korea; YMMV.

Like shelemm, I wonder if it's a tour. You could EASILY do this trip on your own. You might take a look at might trip report:4 wonderful solo weeks in South Korea
