Thailand

Hi There
Travelling to Bangkok to spend new Year there, then maybe move on 2nd Jan, would like to spend a few days in Cambodia and Vietnam then onto beach resort or beach first. Can someone recommend best places to fly to and stay at, only have 2 weeks for whole trip. Looking for somewhere reasonable to stay in Sukomvit Road area in Bangkok...can anyone suggest?
Cheers

Type in Bangkok Hotels in the Search box and tons of stuff will pop up as we get this question a lot. Happy Travels!

Since you only have two weeks (and do you have 14 full days on the ground in SE Asia?), I'd recommend that you pause and consider what you really want to do/see/experience in SE Asia.

A few days in Cambodia and VN really doesn't make a lot of sense. Your flights and even the visas will add up fast, and you won't have any real time to experience the culture or the people. It takes three full days just to visit the major temples at Angkor.

If you have 14 full days on the ground, choose three locations (and by that, I don't mean three countries!). You could visit one spot in each of three countries, if you wish (such as Bangkok, Angkor, Hanoi).

You need to give us a lot more info about your interests and budget before we can be of much help.

Read some trip reports here, buy a guidebook to SE Asia, do some research and decide what interests you.

Wow, sounds like way too much travel in 14 days. You've got to make choices and don't spend all your precious time on planes, trains etc.
