Am thinking of visiting these places.
Fly into Danang may stay 2 nites @ Sandy Bay. Any comments on hotel or other recommendation ?
Take Day trip to Hoi An. Resort has shuttle into town - but how do we get the bus to HA? Are there express-bus (U$3)?
Do we need to buy ealry or it is ok to get on day itself ? Any site for bus schedule? Can we get round trip ticket?
Suggest day program in HA ?
After leaving Danang plan to take Express Train to Hue ? Again do we need to get train ticket earlier or on day itself?
Any hotel (3*) to recommend in HA & Hue ?
And sight & food.
Thanks.

Have done this trip before, but not for a few years. There is really almost no reason to stay in Danang. Aside from a fantastic museum of Cham artifacts, there nothing else to see. If it were me, I'd stay 2 nights in Hoi An, then see Danang on my way to Hue.
I would highly recommend that you get a car and driver to take you from Hoi An/Danang to Hue by road. The scenery is fantastic and the cost is only about $25 a day for a car and driver.
In Hue, I haven't stayed there, but the Pilgrammage Village Hotel looks interesting.

My friend and I are leaving July 23 for our second trip to Vietnam, as well as to Hoi An. We are returning to the Hoi An Beach Resort. The beach is right across the street, the pools are huge and virtually empty, there is outside dining on the river, and the rooms are nice w/balcony. I highly recommend it.

Wld B arriving Danang airport at abt 6pm on Saturday. Is it still possible to get driver to to Hoi An' Beach Resort at that time? Is it safe?
How much shd we pay?
If we hire a driver to for a day to Hue & Danang - what R the start & end time normally?
Will driver wait around patiently while we walk about ?
Do driver tend to push you to stop at shops (to get commissions)?
Thanks.

Hoi An is only about an hour or so from Danang Airport. It's entirely reasonable to land at Danang and go directly to Hoi An.
I had no problems with my driver stopping places I didn't want to see.

You can take a taxi from DN airport to Hoi an ( 04 minutes, 18 USD) and stay 02 nights in Hoi An because spend night in Hoi An Ancient Town better than In Da nang, hotel/resort resommended in Hoi an : Pho Hoi Riverside Resort and Sea and Sand hotel cost from 28 U$ up
You should go to Hue by car (about 50$) so that you can stop on the way to visit tourist attractions. the Asia hotel*** in Hue is a good one with 30 U$ up/room/nite
have a good trip!

WE're just back from Vietnam and here's what I recommend...
Taxi from Danang airport to Hoi An (about 40 minutes) we paid $12. Hoi An is touristy but fun and we liked the Life Resort which is on the river.
You could take a taxi to Hue or what we did, a taxi back to Danang that dropped us off at the Cham Museum, waited for us and then brought us to the train station for the ride to Hue. It's a nice train ride, a couple of hours and around $5 in 1st class (AC). If you like a variety in the types of transportation this is definately worthwhile. It's worth buying the ticket in advance which you can do, for a small mark up, through a travel agent in Hoi An as the train was completley full.
You can take a bus/minibus but we didn't look into this option.
Hope this helps
