I was told by my visa service (Zierer) that I can't use my digital camera to take the Visa pictures. I used the camera for our passports and they were fine. She told me the digital pictures could be turned down by China??? Kinko's quoted me $15/picture. Has that been your experience?

Think I paid $10 for first pair of pp photos and $5 for a second pair at a camera store (Ritz?). If you bite the bullet and pay the price and send in real pp photos like they are asking for, then you won't be turned down by China because of the photos.

I applied for a visa to China in 2003 using a picture I took with my digital camera. It was accepted by the visa office in Chicago. Unfortunately we never took that trip due to the SARS outbreak but are planning to go in September. I am planning to use that same picture again. I took the picture standing against a white wall and printed it using my photo printer. It came out just fine.
