Thanks, Kathy. I guess I'll just increase the amount of malerone.
Appreciate confirmation on Koh Chang. Now it's back to the books for a choice of beach and hotel/ bungalow. Does anyone know if you can get a decent place with A/C there for about 1000B.? Siem Reap and previous tour with OAT are amounting to high expenses. Plus, will probably fly on a Discovery Pass to Koh Chang RT for more efficient timing.- instead of Eastern Terminal.

MHRS: What time of you are you talking about?
So you would be Arriving in Bangkok and Then going onwards to Cambodia ( ? Siem Reap ), yes, if you were going to Koh Chang the Bangkok Airways Discovery pass would be a good idea flying into Trat Airport.
If you are thinking about Nov to Jan you might just manage a/c on Koh Chang for B 1,000 but it will be tight at that time, White Sands would possible be the area for you.
The snorkeling around Koh Chang is limited around the National Park preserved snorkeling/diving areas.
So this is not arriving overland from Cambodia but arriving Bangkok, then wanting some beach and snorkeling and 'then' heading to Cambodia ?
Just trying to get clear the routing.

) Koh Chang~ is it overdeveloped? Is the snorkeling good?
<< Koh Chang is nice for snorkel
2) Ko Tao~ is this a huge party scene?
<< We are going there for scuba diving.. not for a huge party..
3) Perhentian Islands~ Will it take to long to get too from BKK and is it expensive to stay here and enjoy the activities?
<< I suggestion to Koh Samet..
I have been Koh Samet Rayong many time.. Almost every weekend so far..
It is not far from Bangkok. Only 3-4 hr to get there. The last boat to get to the island is around 6 pm everyday. otherwise u can get Speed Boat 24hr service..
I always stay at Vong Duean Beach. It is a middle beach of island.. You can walk to visit another beach in the north and south easy..It is a nice walk actully..
The beach is cool...many beach activities if u would like to.. Jet Ski, Banana Boat, Valley Ball even snorkel and scuba dive the small island over there also good..
The night life over there was cool as well. Bar on the beach that u can drink and chill out on the beach.. even u would like to dance.. beach is a big dance floor actually
My favorite bar is Bay Watch Bar. I think it is a coolest bar in this beach...Good music, great cocktails..
check thier website and sign in the guestbook. if u r lucky u will get a free cocktail (I got it.. hehehe) www.baywatchbar.tk
Any info that i can help please feel free to email me... Cheers!
