Where do you find a driver
I've read that it is not advisable to drive in VN, therefore I'm looking to hire a driver to drive us from Hoi an to nha trang then to Saigon. Where can I find one?

I know this guide from this area and found him very good. We went with him from Hue to Hoi An. I am sure he can arrange a driver for you.

Email the concierge at your hotel and inquire. This can probably be set up for you prior to your arrival in Ha Noi. I use an English-speaking driver when in Ha Noi. I hire a car through the Metropole Hotel, where I always stay. Even doing this through the Metropole, one of the most expensive hotels in Ha Noi, the daily rate (8 hours) is only about $30.

have you considered flying from Hoi An/Hue area to Nha Trang? And from Nha Trang, hiring a driver? I don't believe the drive is the easiest (or most comfortable). We flew from Nha Trang to Hue. Sometimes it's worth the cost....

We took Reunification Express from Saigon to Danang (certainly an experience) and hotel at Hoi An arranged driver to Hue. He was marvellous, excellent English, pretty astonishing scenery on this section and am very glad we didn't attempt the drive. The driver expertly wove his way around hairpin bends where large buses were hurtling themselves at oncoming traffic in a quite terrifying manner. For about another $20 the driver guided us around Royal Tombs on Perfume River, near Hue.
