4 weeks in Oz... Help!

Hey, you Jokers out there. We've never been to Oz. My wife 'n I are retired. Could some of you Cobbers give me an idea of where we should visit and how many days we should spend in each place. What should we try to pack into, say, a four week Oz experience? Thanks a lot! Catch you later! (P.S. I haven't seen a league game in 30 years but consider Reg Gasnier the best player I ever saw!)

OK firstly you won't find anyone call anyone else "cobber" and the younger generation would probably not even know what you are talking about :0)
You will have to give us a clue as to what you like and then we can help you.
The Barrier Reef would be a start, perhaps the Northern Territory
cheers
4 weeks...what time of the year? Obviously not with tin lids; never heard of Reg what's his name either. If you want to catch a game be here in winter.

Interested in spring wild flowers, surf, bowls, theatre? .. Please give us more clues.

Hi,
If you have four weeks, fly don't drive. Remember Australia is as big as the USA, with some long stretches of nothing between cities.
MUSTS: the magnificent Great Barrier Reef (base yourself in Cairns for at least three days), Sydney, Melbourne (both beautiful cities with styles all their own), and if you want to drive somewhere, then a trip along the Great Ocean Road out from Melbourne. It is stunning. If you wanted a complete change of scenery you could then go to see Ayers Rock (now called Uluru) but there's not a whole lot to do out there once you've seen the rock.
These are just thoughts, but I would definitely go for the Great Barrier Reef.

There's another Gasnier now in the Australian team, currently touring England. Mark Gasnier, Reg's nephew.
