5 Days In Noosa

Two of us are heading to Oz in mid December and plan to spend (5) days in Noosa. Any recommendations what to do there? Any day trips one would recommend. I can't find much on the web sites.
We're also spending a week in Sydney and a week in Port Douglas.
Thanks for your help

Noosa (or Noosa Heads) is at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast. There is plenty to see and do. We have beautiful beaches, national parks, the hinterland area, there is also Australia Zoo and Underwater World etc. I have listed a few web sites for you to check out which have info on Noosa and the rest of the Sunshine Coast.

www.tourismnoosa.com.au
www.sunsh inecoast.org
www.sunzine.net
www.queensland-holidays.com.au

It will be hot in December and our summer school holidays start on 13 December 2002. So expect to see plenty of people around, although not as many as Christmas week and New Years week. You might need to hire a car if you plan to go further afield than Noosa, as public transport is not very regular on the Sunshine Coast, but if you do an organised tour they usually pick up and drop off at your hotel or apartment.

Hope this helps.
Thanks so much, I'll start my home work immediately. We'll be in Noosa 12/22-28, so Xmas will be celebrated there.
Can't wait.

I'll be sure and take good notes.
We'll be at the Sheraton Noosa, had some miles I had to use up before all the airlines go belly up here in the states.

Suzanne, it will probably be scorching hot in Noosa in Dec, I was there in January and got the worst sun burn of my life! But it is nice, just make sure to wear sunscreen & a hat!
