We spent several weeks in Sydney in March and would like to go back in September for at least 6 months. We'd like some city life for awhile as we live on a small island in Hawaii. We'd like to rent a 1-2 bedroom furnished apartment with a view of the water, Elizabeth Bay, Watson's Bay, Rose Bay, Manly or Palm Beach, are a few areas we have in mind. Anyone know of any resonably priced apartments? Any suggestions? Serena

Either check out some house exchange sites because they always have people who are renting holiday places etc as well as exchanging OR put an add in the classified section of the Sydney Morning Herald www.smh.com.au and see what you can get privately before you try R/Agents

Serena,<BR>I think Liz's advice is excellent - however, do keep in mind that during December and January rents at Palm Beach and Manly will more than double in some cases owing to the school holiday season and the popularity of these areas.

Try www.domain.com.au<BR><BR>search for furnished apartments in the places you mentioned.Try waterside lower north shore areas like milsons point,lavender bay,kirribilli,neutral bay,mosman.<BR><BR>Make sure you are sitting down when you read the asking prices.The sydney rental market is soft at the moment..shop around and bargain hard.

Looking for and extended stay (3-months)accomodation in or around Sydney. Furnished. Anyone have an idea as to getting more info, location, rates, etc.<BR>Could also arrange a swap for three months with a Sydney resident to my house in New Zealand...Nelson...South Island. Any Idea?
