FIJI Plans

Bula Bula all. My fiancee and I will be planning our honeymoon in hopes of going to Fiji. We want to go for about 8-10 days total, but the kicker is, we're inviting our wedding party to come along with us. Unfortunately, we can't pay for them, so we're looking to do something where 6-10 people can enjoy Fiji all together. Our price range for this is about 1500k per person max [including airfare] to an all inclusive joint that doesn't necessarily have to include alcoholic beverages. I know this is a tall order, but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

At 1500k per person, you should be able to buy your own island!

At 1.5k per person, it might be a challenge, given that you will spend more than half of that on airfare. I have personally stayed at Crusoe's Retreat (crusoesretreat.com), on the Coral Coast, but I met a group of folks who were staying there and told me that it was a great all-inclusive place. We went there to leave on a diving trip, and it looked really nice. Certainly the dive shop, boats, and staff were very professional. My guess is that it will end up costing more than $1500 though.

A crucial word is missing from the previous message:

I have NOT stayed at Crusoe's Retreat.

I remember reading somewhere on here a few months ago about a 2-acre resort that could sleep 6 (don't know if you could pack 10 people in there) very comfortably and you had the run of the place - all inclusive price for meals, too. Sorry, I can't think of the name... Have you considered renting a private home that has maybe 4 or 5 bedrooms? That would be the best way to go I think.

Found it - www.taveunipalms.com - Don't take my word for it, I've never been there. But, I saw a posting on this place a while ago. At least check out the website. My husband and I are considering this place for a trip in about 2 years with 2 other couples, to make it worth the cost...
