Noumea, New Caledonia

26 feb to 9 march 2018 we will be in Noumea, New Caledonia, for 2 weeks of classes. just getting opinions on how the mosquitoes are, usually, that time of year? is it real hot & humid then? if so, are there sufficient ocean breezes to make it more bearable? thanks much!

Did you see this link?

I've had dengue ("breakbone fever") and it's awful (I got in Nicaragua). Take along or buy insect repellent. If you end up not needing it, then great.

I've vacationed in Noumea three times but always in the dry, windier season.
