Snakes in Tasmania
Hi, I've just finished reading an interesting (to me) journal of a guy who lives in Penguin, TAS, who biked from there to Hobart. In that journal, he referenced eating snakes.
Would someone please tell me what he ate?
Ta,

As all snakes are protected by law in Tasmania perhaps no one could answer that question for you. There are only two or three varieties in Tasmania and they are not very prolific. I think perhaps that it could have been "writer's licence" in this case.

Abby43: You'd best stay away from the markets in Hong Kong, then. :0
And ... for those who're wondering: snake tastes a little like frog .. sort of cross between chicken & prawn, to my palate anyway.

Hi BigBlue,
I'm 99% certain he was talking about a type of lolly (candy) called snakes. Lots of companies make them including

they are about 2-3 inches long and as they are full of 'energy' they are popular with walkers and cyclists.
You can also get other animal shapes - like dinosaurs and worms, but snakes are the best.
