Which hotel in Sydney?

Hi:

I'm trying to decide between the Sheraton on the Park, the 4 Points and the All Seasons Premier Menzies in Sydney for my honeymoon...

Any comments on these hotels? I looked at all the other comments. Wouldn't consider the Rusell because of the AC (I'm going in january). Any other comments about the 2 Bond St?

Thanks!

Have been to the 4 points sheraton on Darling harbor and loved it. I don`t know if that is the one you are referring too. A very nice hotel. Have also stayed at the All season Menzies and it was ok but nothing great. Easy to get around from both. Don`t know about the Sheraton on the Park.

Sheraton on Park has very nice rooms. 4 POints is Sheraton group (Starwood)but typically one division lower. For my honeymoon we checked out Sheraton, Meridien, Park Hyatt, Quay Grand and Westin and Westin was our choice as we felt the rooms were fantastic and we were not so bothered with views of harbour (got a little bit as we were 24th floor). But for Westin rooms you need to like neutral creams. Sheraton has more colour with all black bathrooms - which are great but do not really go with the room. I think All Seasons is also lower division.

Sheraton in the Park is lovely but I would not stay there. We stayed in the Intercontinental and loved it because it was in walking distance to the rocks and all the ferries. The Park Hyatt is also a good location.

Another vote for the Intercontinental. It's a lovely hotel and you can get a room with a great view of the Opera House. As Fran stated it's within walking distance of a lot of places to see.

Hi,
A friend and I spent two nights at the Menzies about 6mo. ago. We liked it and got a great deal.

It was nice, smallish rooms, clean and friendly, but I think if it had been my honeymoon, I'd look for a place with more character or something more plush, but that's just me! There's nothing wrong w/the Menzies; it fits the clean, comfortable and convenient bill.
Debbie
