Driving time from Revelstoke to Field, B.C.?

Even though I can calculate the mileage between these spots, not sure of the driving time/curviness of highway.

Trying to decide whether it makes since to backtrack to Revelstoke/Glacier National Park area (if we fly in & out of Calgary). Drove past these areas many years ago on way from Vancouver to Calgary. Would like to do that again, but the one-way car rentals are prohibitive! (unless anyone knows of how to get a deal with these?)

Thanks for your input.

I have driven the route recently. I cannot give you a good estimate because we stopped in Glacier for a hike.
From Revelstoke, I recall it took is less than an hour to get to Rogers Pass.
Then from the Pass it was about an hour to Golden. From Golden to Field was about 40 minutes. That part of the road is steep at first as you emerge from the Rocky Mountain Trench onto the flats near the entrance to Yoho Park.
Once in the park, the road is good all the way to Calgary, although parts of it are two lanes.
Thanks so much for the information!
That helps a lot.

Btw, Yahoo's mapquest show it being 3 hrs 40 min between the two & Mapquest.com says less than 2 hours. Since they may base their times purely on mileage, wasn't sure how accurate -esp. since they reached such completely different times estimations!

Thanks again for your assistance.

Well, there is a lot to see on that route. I did not even mention Mt. Revelstoke NP. I have stopped by there, but I am not sure I saw what there is to see.
There is one view of the Columbia River Valley as you drive the route between Revelstoke and Rogers Pass that is beautiful.
As you ascend from Golden toward the Continental Divide at Kicking Horse Pass, or the Great Divide to use the Canadian term, the canyon is narrow and spectacular.
You may be delayed because you stop and look so much.
I think it is a scenic route to drive.
