Smoking ban in Quebec
Just to let everyone know, the province of Quebec has brought in a law to ban smoking in all public places, including bars and restaurants. This ban takes effect at midnight tonight.

The last? Are you kidding? As far as I know, none of the Atlantic provinces have banned smoking and I haven't heard anything about Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba or Newfoundland either.

After reading the articles I am glad to see that Quebec also included casinos in the law. It seems that here in the states the no-smoking laws always exclude casinos. Since they tend to be the smokiest of any place it makes sense to ban it there as well. Are casino workers and patrons less important than other people?

Bans everywhere are long overdue for everyone's sake!!!
Initially, the casino's in Atlantic City, N.J. were expemt from the ban but not too long ago they reversed that and they too are smokeless but there are certain knuckleheads that are so selfish and inconsiderate that they ignore the ban and continue to break the law. Unfortunately there is not enough individuals to enforce the law but hopefully one day people will come to their scenses...
