Tofino or Ucluelet
Which one of these two would you recommend to stay in ?
I am going to have 2 nights to stay. Also any recommendations of good Bed and Breakfasts would be much appreciated.
Thanks

.......I like Tofino more than Ucluelet
- but that's just MHO; I think Tofino
has a prettier setting, more to do and
better places to eat but if I were a
fishin' type of person I'd probably opt
for Ucluelet.
They are only 30 min. or so apart so
it's easy to visit back and forth.
The Wild Pacific Trail at Amphricite
Point in Ucluelet is a must-do!

Ukee is a blue collar town that's fallen on hard times with the collapse of sectors of the Commercial fishery and now the closure of the Pollock processing plant.
It's trying to reinvent itself as an lower priced alternative to pricey and touristy Tofino and is having some success (although you can pay a lot in Ukee as well).
Try www.springcovebeach.com

If you do end up in Ukee make sure to have dinner @ Matterson's-the small yellow house right on Main Street in
town.
Very well run, excellent food and long a popular stop with visiting boaters.

I also like Tofino better than Ucluelet..We stayed at Clayoquot Retreat..It was abolutely gorgeous..A little B & B, with private rooms with decks facing the ocean...The grounds are beautiful with an outdoor hot tub...I highly recommend it and the breakfasts are delicious as well...

The rooms are decorated nicely and are quite large..

Tofino is a lovely town with a very charming town centre. I own a bed and breakfast in Tofino. If I'm allowed to advertise then take a look at our web site. http://www.tofinobedandbreakfast.com
There are many lovely bed and breakfasts in Tofino and Ucluelet but Tofino has the better restaurants, town centre, etc. From our place you can walk to Tonquin Beach, restaurants and tour offices.
