Toronto Airport - Arrival Meeting Point
I will be arriving at Toronto airport at Terminal 1. I need to meet up with someone who is arriving at Terminal 3 about an hour later. From the maps, it looks like we go straight to customs and immigration at our individual terminals, so we would need to meet someplace outside immigration. Is there someplace convinient? Maybe a centrally-located coffee place or something?
Thanks.
Thanks.

As you are arriving earlier, why not go to Terminal 3 and meet your friend there, either at the US arrival area (marked with a US flag on the map) or at the international arrivals (marked with a globe).

Ok - thanks. When I was looking at the maps, it wasn't clear if I could transfer terminals before going through immigration. Being able to do that makes it so much easier.
Thanks for your help.

I'm afraid you have it wrong. At Terminal One, you will clear customs and immigration, then pick up your baggage. You then leave the secure area. From there take the Link Train to Terminal Three where you can wait outside the secure area for your friend to arrive.

Meet @ The Sheraton Gateway Hotel, 2nd floor bar or restaurant.
When you arrive @ T1, take the monorail to T3/Sheraton Hotel Just follow the signs....Sheraton Hotel.
For your friend arriving @ T3, walk out the door & cross the road. Sheraton Gateway is right there.

I re-read the first couple posts and I see what they are saying. I did make my way over to the T3 arrival area, there is a cafe right outside to the right, so I waited there, read my book and had some coffee. Worked out well.
