What was the best meal you had in Quebec City?

We're trying to make some reservations for our upcoming trip in June. I'd love suggestions for some of your favorite restaurants/meals in Quebec City. We're particularly interested in restaurants that serve (or are known for) mussels. But we're open to anything! Thanks!

The best meal by far that we had in Quebec City or any city for that matter was the Initiale in old town

For seafood, I think that the best restaurant in town is Marie-Clarisse. However, if you want mussels, you don't have to go to a fancy restaurant. I've enjoyed the mussels at the Pub D'Orsay for example. The Pub Alexandre is another great pub--go for their sausages.

One of the best meals I've had in Québec City (or elsewhere) was at La Crémaillère.

You will find many recommendations for Aux Anciens Canadiens. It specializes in traditional habitant cuisine and is located in an early 17th C building. In the evening I think it is over-priced, but the lunch menu is good value and it goes until 5:45. If you have lunch there, you won't want very much for dinner.

Many consider the top three restaurants to be L'Initiale, Laurie-Raphaël, and Panache at the Auberge Saint-Antoine. La Tanière is also well regarded, but I understand that Le St-Amour is living off its past reputation. None of these restaurants are inexpensive.

Café Du Clocher Pensé was a benchmark for us in January. No problems in recommending them

We had many nice meals in Quebec City but the nicest by far was Cafe du Clocher Pense. We had lunch there and would have gone back for dinner the next night but it was closed on Sunday. (At least, I think it was Sunday. In any case, we were so disappointed. It will be our first choice next visit.)

Could you give an idea of the price range of lunch or dinner at the places you have recommended?
