accomodations Paradise Island
We will be in the Bahamas in June to attend a wedding. The wedding will take place at Sunrise Beach Villas. The Bride and Groom have selected the Atlantis to stay and gave options for guests either Atlantis or Comfort Suites. With a family of 4 I think we would more comfortable at the Comfort Suites and able to utilize the amenities of the Atlantis. I have looked on the website at Sunrise Beach Villas and that maybe a possibility. Question how would someone compare the 2 places Comfort Suite and Sunrise. Family of 4 (kids 13 and 15)

Right off the top.. Sunrise will NOT give you access to Atlantis.. a bummer for your kids if others are staying there. I'd opt for Comfort Suites. There are plenty of lower cost food options in the area.. including Quiznos, News Cafe, Choosey, ZIo Gigi, Blue Marlin, Green Parrot and even Dominos (delivery).
Bring a sack of snacks.. and you'll be fine.

Do Comfort Suites. Free breakfast and the swim-up poolside bar with friendly staff is a good break from the hoardes at Atlantis. It's only a short one minute walk from Atlantis, across Casino Blvd. You qualify for all Atlantis activities via CS's. Robert59

I am not familiar with the other resort you mentioned, but the fact that Comfort Suites gives you full privleges at the Atlantis would be priceless to most 13-15yr olds esp with the expansion of the water park--they will have a ball. Day passes are very expensive and not always available. We just returned from a week at the CS, and i posted a trip report if you are interested. Happy Travels!

I just returned from the Comfort Suites - very nice and very nice staff. Their is a nice continental breakfast and the restaurant is also open for lunch. No Dinner. You can go to the Atlantis - very pricey and food so so or find a restaurant in the shopping area between the Atlantis and Comfort Suites. A lot to do at Atlantis for teenagers - great water slides and beach "toys". Comfort Suites is pool only but who cares when you have the Atlantis next door.

You may also want to look into the condos at the atlantis. I believe they are called Harbor Island or Harbor Side (it escapes me now)? They have their own pools, a quick shuttle ride or long walk to the atlantis and very nicewith all the privledges of the atlantis. They also have kitchens, so you can make your own breakfasts (saving you a ton). Good luck!

Staying at CS in July....those who recently returned from there...what is included in the free breakfast? How reasonable is the restaurant at CS for breakfast and lunch and what type of foods are available? Also, are there laundry facilities for guest use at CS?
