We are thinking of Punta Cana, Mac Bavaro Grand) at the end of March. Have heard the place is beautiful BUT you can't go off the resort at night how true is this. I know that all places have there problems but is this over blown. How is the snorkling.

Any information on the Iberostar Punta Cana? My wife and I are interested in staying near Samana Bay where Humpack Whales stay January through March and this resort had some good traveler's reviews. Would like good snorkeling, clean rooms, and decent food/drinks.
