Barbados or Turks and Caicos TCI in November?

We are planning a week long trip to the Caribbean the beginning of November,

I was pretty set on Barbados until I started reading about TCI.

The temps are pretty much the same but TCI seems to get about half as much rain.

Just fear spending all the money and having rain for all 5 days like my last trip to Cancun.

Comments and suggestions on the 2 islands would be great.

Thanks

extremely different islands. barbados is large & fairly lush while provo is small, flat & arid. barbaods has shopping provo has almost none. provo has very good snorkeling & excellent restaurants. barbados numerous small, pretty beaches, provo 11 mile long gorgeous grace bay beach with stunning almost tourqoiuse water. most provo activities are water oriented while barbados has some land things like botanical garden, caving, polo matches & a few historical sites to visit. on barbados there is a good sized town called the gap that has a bit of nightlife. on provo any nightlife is pretty low key. provo has a large selection of condo style resorts. these offer full kitchen should you choose to use it (nice even if you just have morning coffee on your deck or a drink at night...) with onsite restaurant as well.
the weather & water temps would be almost the same. later in nov it can be windier.
i too had a week of rain in mexico, thankfully we had 2 weeks so it wasn't a complete disaster.

I can only give you my perspective of course but it depends on what you are looking for. These just happen to be the only two islands we have been to so far in the caribbean, and yes they were years apart but at least I have been to both so as to give you a little insight. We went to Barbados for our 10th anniversary and we just went to T&C for our 25th. I have to say they were quite different. If you are mainly wanting great beaches and the most beautiful water I have ever seen, then I would say T&C, but if you want things to do and more of a caribbean vibe and the friendliest people we have ever met(IMHO)...then I would say Barbados. On both islands we had times of rain, when we were in Barbados we just had two different spurts where it rained hard for about fifteen minutes and then it was done, so that wasn't so bad. When we were in T&C out of the seven days we were there it rained everday but one and for very long periods at a time. Don't really have experience with the time of year you are going though, both of our trips were toward the middle of May. These are just our experiences, if you have any other questions for me don't hesitate to ask me. I can also give you my e-mail address if you want.

Thanks. Leaning greatly towards Barbados - I have such fond memories of visiting it as a child. I remember the wonderful beaches, the friendly people and fried flying fish.

Just waiting to pull the trigger on booking it

November is after the hurricane season. Barbados may get more rain than T&C, but usually in spotty showers. The rain is seldom enough to even drive you off the beach.

The hurricane season starts 1st June and ends 30th November. I've been a few times to Barbados and only 1 visit did we have rain that lasted couple days.
