Bermuda in April?
We are considering a Bermuda vacation beginning April 18. Is this too early for Bermuda - too cool or rainy? Can you swim in the ocean? Are hotel pools generally heated? We are thinking about Cambridge Cottages, the Reefs, Pompano Beach. Any thoughts?

Go to weather.bm and click on climate data for April - it is a very detailed site. You won't be able to swim in the ocean - unless you're a polar bear! Water temp. will get to mid 70's by the end of May. We stopped going in May and now go the beginning of June - the weather/water temperature is perfect. The pool is heated at The Reefs and Pompano - not sure about Cambridge - would be surprised if it's not - is a very upscale resort. The Reefs and Pompano are tops in favourite resorts. We're a huge fan of Pompano.

We love the Reefs, and agree with sp that April will be too cold for swimming in the ocean. The pools are heated. The day time temps should be nice though. We went in mid May and found the days to be pleasant (70's), but the ocean chilly. We went in Oct and the ocean was nice and warm. If you are not a big ocean swimmer, you will have a nice vacation at off season rates. You can still lie on the beach and get some sun.
