Honeymoon at Secrets Excellence

I am planning a honeymoon at the end of August/beginning of September at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana. I've read from previous posts that the food carts can be quite noisy on the first floor. Through our charter we'd only be able to get a Junior Suite with a Garden View. Does anyone know if these suites are only on the first floor?

Thx

Garden view can be on any floor. Contact the hotel ask for a second or third floor room. I was there in June and had a second floor pool view room. WE didn't notice any noise at all.

My wife and I were at Secrets during Easter week - lots of guests. We had a first floor garden room and we didn't have any noise at night.

I think it may depend on the location of your room - we were on the first floor in the bock of rooms that was near the buffet restaurant. Three mornings in a row - around 6:00- we were trying to figure out what the noise was, since the maids don't start until after 8. It was room service - and unfortuantely, it was loud. On the other hand, we are light sleepers and it was close to our normal waking time....the place is great. Enjoy.

I stayed there last Easter, my room was in the second floor, no noise, very quiet. Let them know that you wan't a quite room, they will help you. By the way wake un early so you can get the big cabanas by the pool, they are great!!! Recomedation wake up bring a bag and magazines and leave them there, then return to sleep, no one will take it.
The spa is great! Make reservations in the restaurants as soon as you get there and bring some off mosquito repelent, just in case it rains.
The best restaurant is the one that offers typical Dominican Republic food, is kind of small, so thats why you should make reservations few days before. The Chineese restaurant is bad!!! Seafood restaurant is great. You will love it, try running the donkey by the beach and the free boat trip, is good.
