La Cabana

Has anyone stayed here? We are looking at a suite that is near the front of the building. How far is the walk to the beach? Thanks.

So many people post saying that they love the La Cabana. Not me. I did like their casino, but the property and room was not the greatest. It is the worst place I have ever stayed on Aruba. Anyway, the walk to the beach which does not compare to Palm, Eagle, Baby, etc. is less than 50 yards. You must cross the road. Hope you have fun in Aruba. It is a great destination.
Hi Allison, We stayed in the grand suites and had no complaints. Our suite was clean and tastefully decorated, and we didn't mind the walk to the beach. Would certainly stay there again. Feel free to e-mail me directly if you wish. Val
Allison-
We stayed at LaCabana in April. Even during Easter week, we found the property was very clean, our suite was always "made up" when we returned from our morning trip to the beach. Our unit was at the front of the building on the ground floor. For our next visit we'll try to request a unit off of the ground floor (they seemed to have a bit more privacy since everyone walks by the ground floor units to get to the parking lot, etc.) We'd also enjoy having a view of the sea which we'd be happy to pay more for.

I've seen others complain in this forum that they have been unhappy with the cleanliness of their unit, but not us. You should be able to go from the front of the building to the beach in less than five minutes. The beach is across the street from LaCabana, but it is still very convenient. LaCabana's staff on the beach was helpful every day--we always got a cabana and drink service. Good luck and have fun!

Hi Allison

La Cabana is not that great. The rooms are pretty normal and you've got to dodge traffic and cross a road to get to the beach. The beach isn't too great too.

My favourite hotel in Aruba is the Hyatt Regency. It's on a good location at Palm Beach and surrounded by good hotels and restaurants. There's a great casino, the best I've seen on the island.

The rooms are nice with an updated feel. Nice bathrooms and warm resort colours and furnishings.

Have a nice Aruba holiday.
