Le Sport, St Lucia

Have just returned and while I enjoyed myself on the island I would certainly not recommend this hotel! not sure what people like so much about it. the spa was not up to the standard I expected. I also didn't know that the included treatments and times are decided without any input from you!Food was Ok but not much to write home about. Service was very average and (not the hotels fault I know) the beach was crowded! I never let disappointments ruin my holiday but I did feel that I should post my view to give others some help in deciding.(I had been booked into the Jalousie but tour operator changed hotel saying it was overbooked)

we have been booked into this hotel as the one we originally booked went bust! I seem to have read mainly good reports so far so I'm a little concerned!

I have stayed at LeSport twice, and the resorts offers what it advertises. The spa has sometimes a couple hundred people that it must schedule the spa treatments for. So yes, you will have to pretty much go with the appointments they give you. The food is okay, but I wouldn't say it is four star by any means. But it is definitely on par with any other all-inclusive hotel I have visited in the Carribean. However, they do have some nice touches, like the British style tea-time snacks, and the champagne sunsets. Also, they staff called Bodyguards that are supposed to socialize with you, and they can give a very good insight about the real St. Lucia.

You should have a very good time. One of the benefits on staying at the resort is that you can also visit its sister resort, Rendevous, near the Vigie airport. I do believe it is couples only.

I found this resort to be amazing. Excellent service, great beach, ala carte dining, no dinner buffets, great food, stick a flag in the sand and your waiter BRINGS you your drink, golf include at a nearby golf course, excellent weather, spa treatments, ask if any spaces are open and get an extra treatment. WOW!! You guys who didn't like the resort must be smoking Crack and going through withdrawls when you were there.

I loved LeSport and had a few of the best meals at Tao resturant! The spa is not like spa's I frequent here in NY but they are pictured on their website so there shouldn't be any surprises. Sorry Marla that it wasn't the best for you, but we sure loved it!

We taxied over to LeSport for dinner one evening since it is a sister resort to Rendezvous where we were staying. The scenery was impressive. The bar area and restaurants looked very nice. But the beach is very small. We ate at TAO, which was wonderful. We originally planned on returning during the week to sun and snorkel (the reef is close to the beach so people simply swim out to view fish) but since the beach area was so small we chose not to.
