luxury vacation with child

I am looking for suggestions as to where we should take a vacation in Feb or Mar with a 3 year old. We went to Caneel Bay and loved it. We want to go someplace new. Right now we are thinking of the Malliouhana in Anguilla and the Jalouise Hilton in St. Lucia. I am open to any other suggestions. Thanks.

I think Sandy Lane (very much $$$$) in Barbados caters to families.

Although we have never stayed at Malliouhana, we have are regular visitors to Anguilla. Our children loves it there (now 11 and 16), and the Kid's Play area at Malliouhana is just great!

Would definately recommend Anguilla for families.

Debbie, I have been to Jalousie and Malliouhana. Jalousie Hilton is lovely, but I felt very confined as it is very difficult to get around St. Lucia. I love Caneel and ST. John, we have been there several times. Having been to Anguilla many times, this past spring we stayed a few nights at Malliouhana. Met some young mothers, toddlers and infants in tow, who loved the hotel and its facilities, especially with young ones. They should have the huge new spa opened by then too.

Isn't that an oxymoron? Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

To tell the truth, I'm looking for the same thing. So many truly luxurious resorts make no accomodations for children, but they should. I think there is a market of people looking for truly upscale (NOT Beaches, Atlantis) resorts that have at least some amenities for kids.

How about the Four Seasons Nevis, or the Buccaneer in St. Croix? It's not luxurious but it is elegant, great service and definitely caters to families.

Thanks for all the replies. I am checking out the Buccaneer also. The only thing I don't like about the Four Seasons in Nevis is that it takes the longest to get to (2 flights and a ferry. Right now, I am still leaning toward the Malliouhana. Still open to any other suggestions.

Debbie, We went to Club Med Sandpiper in Florida, not very exotic, but a great kids program. Maybe another Club Med? It will give you a chance for ocassional time to yourselves if you want it as well.
