Punta Cana- All Inclusive- Feed Back

My husband and I are looking for a all inclusive Punta Cana get away in January. Don't want to spend much of course but want to stay somewhere nice that we would want to come back to. Nice area, good food etc. I've reviewed online, i.e. Breezes, Secrets etc. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here is another great travel forum for the Dominican Republic. There are even trip reports on hotels in the D.R. as well.

We enjoyed our stay at the RIU Bambu while in Punta Cana, but found the food not that great and for some reason it all did taste the same. Not sure if that is the way it is at every resort in Punta Cana or just the RIU resorts, but otherwise it was wonderful.

We stayed at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana last summer and had a very nice, relaxing time. No children make it a wonderful atmosphere. Great pool and beach and good food.

We stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro -- but it's been about 5 years. We especially liked the large suites, gorgeous property (landscaping is lovely). Food was ok -- like most AI, plentiful, always can find something but not first rate. The beach was one of the best, white sand, snorkeling off shore, nice palapas.

Stayed at the Palladium, Punta Cana and loved it. The pools were nice. The beach was beautiful! The Grand Palladium in MX is our favorite and rated higher, but we were not disappointed with PC Palladium. Check tripadvisor.com for reviews written by people who have stayed at the different hotels. We had a very bad experience at Sunscape Puerto Adventuras, MX and wished that we had known about tripadvisor before we went. The reviews are mostly horrible for Sunscape! Enjoy! PC is beautiful!!!
