Quick trip report/7MB and Villas of the Galleon

We're just back from a quick 6-day trip to the Cayman Islands. Traveling was myself, husband, and daughters (ages 10 and 14). We travel somewhere NEW every Thanksgiving break and decided to try the beaches in the Caymans for the first time based on reviews we read on this site. Here's our quick report so it might help someone else!
We stayed at Villas of the Galleon and couldn't have been more impressed. We had a 2 bedroom beach-front condo and were just steps from pristine white sand beaches and warm turquoise water. The unit itself (#45) had gorgeous views of the beach/ocean and every ammenity of home. There were reclining chairs available for beach use each day, plenty of beach towels, beach toys, etc. The location is right in the middle of Seven Mile Beach, between the Westin and the Ritz. GREAT beach, decent snorkeling, and easy access to water sport rentals such as jet skis.
We had brought some snacks and food from home, plus we walked the two and a half blocks to the nearby supermarket to get sodas, fruits, lunchmeat, etc. We were able to eat breakfast in our rooms, lunch on the beach and go out each night for dinner so our food costs were really reasonable. We walked to most of our dinner spots, although it can be hard to cross the road to get to them due to all the traffic! We ate at Neptune (great), Eats (great), Eduardos (great), and Hard Rock Cafe in Georgetown (not so good).
Public transportation is easy to use and costs $2.50 per person to anywhere along the route you'd like to go pretty much. We took the bus into Georgetown on a Monday when the cruise ships were not in town. The town was completely dead and there was nothing interesting to buy. The only souvenirs we brought back were some Tortuga Rum Cakes...
The people were all very nice. The taxi drivers were talkative and actually hugged us when we were being dropped off. There is virtually no crime on the island and it felt very safe to walk to restaurants at night or along the beach.
We mostly just relaxed on the beach but we did do the Captain Marvin's excursion to snorkel and visit Stingray City/Sandbar. It was great! The snorkeling spots were good with incredible visibility and the stingrays were plentiful. After being shown how by the guides, the kids were able to pick them up and kiss them.
The weather was really nice. We didn't have any rain. It was a bit breezy but the air was warm and so was the water.
At first we were going to rent a car so we could explore more of the island but when we saw the amount of traffic, the complicated turnarounds, and the fact that they drive on the opposite side of the road from what we're used to, we decided to not stress ourselves and just take public transportation. This was a good decision for us, but we did feel a bit more isolated because of it.
All in all, we had a great time.
