Scuba Diving on a Windjammer Cruise???
We are considering a Windjammer cruise, but as newly certified scuba divers are concerned about the convenience of Windjammer's smaller ports of call and organizing our stops with local dive shops. Maybe a land based dive trip would be better? Has anyone had any experience with Windjammer and diving?

Windjammer Barefoot Cruises has a great site. Or call them toll free in the U.S. at 1-800-327-2601. In May of 1996 I was on the Polynesia out of St. Maarten in the French West Indies. We visited Nevis, St. Kitts, St Barths and Anguilla. I remember one optional side trip of diving was offered in Nevis. Each day we were a different island and several side trips were offered with various dregees of athletic ability required. For some a four hour treck through the rain forrest would not be enjoyable. Or climbing to explore the fort at Brimstone Hill on St. Kitts would not be on everyones to do list. In my opinion they had something for everyone. The side trips were of course at your own expense. This was my second Windjammer trip and I would do another in a heart beat. They do a great job of taking care of their passengers.
