Shady beaches

We have a small child and are looking for a hotel/resort on the beach. We would like to find a resort that has a shady area on the beach that is good for children. Can anyone recommend a destination?

Nick, as you can see, there are many unhappy people in the world so try to ignore them (that's you natasha)! We travelled to the Iberostar Dominicana in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) a few years ago and that resort had loads of shade palapas on the beach and the beach is spectacular. Try that area and that particular resort if you like.
