Tours/Activities in Negril area
We have a group of 9 traveling to Jamaica for the first time in Nov. - various ages, youngest 13. We all love the water and would like to know some good tours or activities to plan while there. We will be staying at Moon Dance Villas. Also, any good restaurants nearby?? Thanks!

We liked Norma's at Seasplash for a more upscale dinner and Gambino's for very good Italian food. I know, Italian in Jamaica, but it was very good. I can only eat so much jerk chicken. 3 Dives on the cliffs was great as well. Short taxi ride.BTW, we walked past Moon Dance Villas many times and it looks like one of the nicest properties on the beach.

Sala/Solomon Kerr of Talk of the Town Tours/Negril; Carolyn Barrett hq'ed this summer at Horizon/Bluefields Bay-Belmont an hour out of Negril are well-regarded choices for larger group tours to just about anywhere you fancy on island. Barrett's esp.good for whitewater rafting, snorkelling, hiking, spleunking and all-around adverturing.

We loved Sala Kerr. He customized a tour for us based on what we wanted. It was not really expensive & worth every bit. He picked us a sweet sop from a tree at the craft market & we would never have known to try it without him. His price for a 1/2 day tour was cheaper than the resort tour & his price for a trip to the Falls was cheaper than the beach vendors offered. His van is clean & has a/c. His wife, Sienna, was a big help before our trip. She suggested places to shop for gifts & gave lots of advice.
I wanted to try Selina's for the Sunday brunch but ran out of time. Her website is www.geocities.com/selinascoffeebar/
Another place I want to try next time is Norm's.He offers free pickup & dropoff for you. His site is http://www.jamaica-web-services.com/...ms-choice.html
My favorite is 3 Dives. Their lobster dinner is wonderful. The food & sunset views are priceless. Your villa cook will also spoil you because my sis-in-law raved about their meals at Moon Dance. Please post your trip report & let us know what you liked & didn't.
