Look at Where2Stay.com for travelers reviews. Green Turtle Club, Abaco, may have the rates you're looking for, I'm not sure of summer rates.

Alex,

July is off season so you should get some good prices on hotel and airfare. I know Liberty Travel usually has some good package deals (www.libertytravel.com)

Favorites places to look into include Compas Point on Nassau or Runaway Hill (www.runawayhill.com) on Harbour Island.
You can fly into Nassau and take the Fast Ferry over or Bahamas Air, it's about the same cost.

I agree that www.where2stay.com is great for info and you will find lots of pictures and rates for the high and low season.

July 10th is independence day in the Bahamas and there are usually lots of celebrations planned.

Hope this helps have a great time.

tweedy

The Abaco Beach Resort in Harbour Island has 2 pools--swim up bar--tennis, watersports, scuba--nice landscaping. For Abaco website, see abaco-bahamas. com

I just posted but the problem is that dining can often be expensive and it is not inexpensive at the Abaco Beach Resort--something you have to look into when selecting a resort.

The food is very expensive, so be prepared. The ocean is gorgeous. I went and stayed at the atlantis. This is not a hotel if you want to relax and get away from it all. This is a mega resort with no personal service at all. The pools are the best part of the resort, the place is like disneyland. Get the all inclusive at any resort if they offer it. This resort is good for a 3 day or less stay. Good Luck....
