wyndham hotel info

My husband and I are taking our two kids(ages 9 and 6) to the Wyndham first week of June; I am curious if anyone can give me an update on overall functioning of hotel; I unfortunately booked my trip before finding this wonderful website and am nervous that the hotel is a mess. We have a bayview room, but, am considering trying to upgrade. Pictures of the pool and waterpark look great, but, Sinky bay, looks horrible!! Are their other accessible beaches for us to go to on site? Please, any info would be greatly appreciated. We are also praying that the "cockroaches" was an isolated incident!!!

Perhaps you should name the Island that you are speaking of. That would be quite helpful.

Are you talking about the hotel formerly know as Wyndham Rose Hall in Montego Bay, JA (I believe it's just called Rose Hall now)? Is that the one?

I can tell from the Sinky Bay reference that you are talking about Bermuda. I haven't been there since it became the Wyndham, but stayed there several times when it was the Sonesta. Sinky Bay is the worst of the beaches there, because it is a fairly stagnant bay, not much movement in the water. There are (or were) 2 other beaches on site--the one in the middle, I don't remember the name, is ok, water is better than Sinky Bay. The third is Cross Bay beach, which is down the hill in the other direction at the top of the driveway. They used to have a shuttle that went over there, don't know if they still do, but you could certainly walk up the driveway then down the hill on the other side. That beach is pretty good, certainly the best of the 3. The hotel was getting a bit frayed when it was the Sonesta, but now that it is newly renovated, I would imagine it is looking much better.
