Yucatan Peninsula

All you experts out there, please let me know what you think. My husband and I are very interested in the Mayan ruins. Planning to go in March. Is that a good time? Expensive? Etc. Thanks in advance. Jen

Consider staying in - Merida - cheaper than a beach resort - close to some excellent ruins UXMAL,DZBILCHATUN and not too far from CHICHEN ITZA.

Hi Jennifer. I just got back from the Yucatan and posted a trip report on the Latin America forum. You might want to read it. We toured 5 different Mayan sites.

Dear Jennifer - Husband and I spent a month driving (yes, driving) in Yucatanabout 5 years ago. Didn't drive in Mexico in general but Yucatan wzas just fine. did all the ruins and stayed at small places (didn't book ahead) Loved it, loved it. We were in our late 50's, early 60's then. Helen
